- BIO 201 - Foundations of Biology Inquiry
- BIO 211 - Cell Biology and Biochemistry (formerly Eukaryotic Cell; not required by some schools, but strongly recommended for the MCAT)
- BIO 231 - Genetics
- Notes:
- "A student must have earned at least a C- in BIO 201 in order to enroll in any other BIO course numbered 200 or above."
- "Completion of BIO 211 is a prerequisite for enrollment in BIO 231."
- "Completion of (or enrollment in) all 200-level core courses (i.e., BIO 211, BIO 221, and BIO 231) are prerequisites/corequisites for enrollment in any 400-level biology course, including BIO 493 and BIO 494."
Chemistry:
- CHE 201 & 202 - General Chemistry I and II (Please note that not all schools accept AP credit for General Chemistry I and/or II)
- CHE 331 & 332 - Orgo I & II (Not all schools require Orgo II, but Biology and Chemistry majors are required to take it, and you are responsible for Orgo II material on the MCAT)
- CHE 350 (CHE 430 for chem majors) - Biochemistry is recommended by many medical schools
Physics:
- Physics 201 & 202 - Physics I and II
Math:
- MAT 127 - Calculus A
- MAT 128 or STA 215 - Calculus B or Statistical Inference
- ALSO REQUIRED BY MOST MED SCHOOLS
English:
- Up to 2 course units (Generally don't have to be actual "English" classes, but rather classes that could be categorized as English)
Humanities
- Examples include:
- Psychology
- Sociology

- Up to 4 course units, excluding English

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DOING RESEARCH:
- Find a lab you are interested in, and approach the Professor as soon as possible for shadowing opportunities.
- This will give you the leg-up and the experience needed to enter the lab next year!
